In the week ending November 30, lepidolite prices kept falling. At present, most major mines still maintain steady production. However, issues arise on the demand side. Lower lithium carbonate prices are causing losses on Jiangxi smelters. Stricter environmental rules complicate lithium slag handling, reducing production and operational rates, further lowering lepidolite demand. This pressure is expected to continue short-term price declines.
In the week ending November 30, spodumene concentrate CIF prices continued to falling, shifting the market towards buyers as spot prices drop. Due to the shift in pricing model, CIF prices fell day by day. Current CIF prices for some Australian ores are projected to be $1300-1400/mt. Imports from Africa have stopped due to high shipping costs. Domestic lithium salt and cathode material factories are pushing spot prices down further, while buyers adopt a wait-and-see approach. This weakens both supply and demand, reducing transactions. We expect spodumene prices to continue to decrease.
