The spokesperson Sun Wenjian introduced that since the beginning of this year, the Ministry of Transport has promoted the construction of major projects and strengthened the reconstruction and expansion of coastal and inland port terminals to actively expand effective investment in transportation. From January to July this year, China’s investment in water transportation projects continued to maintain high levels of operation and rapid growth, with a total investment of 110.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 25.7%. Among them, coastal project investment was 50.23 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth rate of 8.2%, while inland river project investment was 57.67 billion yuan, with a growth rate of 41.8%. The scale of investment in water transport construction continued to expand, providing strong support for steady growth and expansion of domestic demand.
