According to foreign news on August 21, the International Copper Study Group (ICSG) said in its latest monthly bulletin on Monday that there was a supply gap of 90,000 tons in the global refined copper market in June, and a shortage of 58,000 tons in May.
In the first six months of this year, the market was oversupplied by 213,000 tonnes, compared with a deficit of 196,000 tonnes a year earlier, the ICSG said.
Global refined copper production was 2.25 million tonnes in June, while consumption was 2.34 million tonnes, the ICSG said.
