According to SMM survey, the average operating rate of licensed secondary lead smelters across four provinces stood at 47.38% last week (August 11-18), flat from a week earlier. Last week, the production of smelters in Anhui and Jiangsu was relatively stable.
Smelters in Henan said that although the price of lead was relatively optimistic, they did not increase production due to limited raw materials. Some smelters in Inner Mongolia just resumed production and their output was not stable, and their operating rates did not change much.
