Coinbase, the largest US cryptocurrency exchange, said it has received approval from the National Futures Association (NFA) to offer cryptocurrency futures to eligible US customers.
In the US, exchanges such as CME and LedgerX are already offering cryptocurrency derivatives. Coinbase rose more than 3% in intraday trading on Wednesday at one point, but finally closed down 0.23% against the backdrop of a weaker market.
