Data from the National Bureau of Statistics show that from January to July, the national real estate development investment was 6,771.7 billion yuan, down 8.5% YoY. Among them, residential investment was 5,148.5 billion yuan, down 7.6%. From January to July, the sales area of commercial housing was 665.63 million square meters, down 6.5% YoY, of which the sales area of residential housing was down 4.3%. The sales volume of commercial housing was 7,045 billion yuan, down 1.5%, with residential sales up 0.7%. At the end of July, the area of commercial housing for sale was 645.64 million square meters, an increase of 17.9% YoY. Among them, the residential area for sale increased by 19.5%.
