SHANGHAI, Aug 15 (SMM) –
Last week, the total amount of steel products exported from ports around the world (excluding China) was 1.647 million mt, down 25% WoW. The total volume of outbound shipments from Chinese ports was 2.1835 million mt, an increase of 55% WoW.
In terms of varieties, 113,500 mt of steel plates were exported from global ports this week, an increase of 172% from the previous week. 128,000 mt of rebar and HRC were exported from global ports, down 71% from the previous week. The total amount of pig iron exported from global ports was 411,200 mt, a decrease of 39% WoW. The total amount of steel billets exported from global ports was 565,300 mt, up 71% WoW. Last week, the total amount of steel products exported from ports around the world (119 ports) was 369,100 mt, down 78,800 mt WoW, or 18%.
