Last week, the average operating rate of galvanising enterprises rose 1.79 percentage points from the previous week to 67.17%. Buying on the dip, coupled with improved shipments arrivals after the typhoon, grew raw material inventories of companies. In terms of galvanised pipes, due to the decline in steel prices, the purchasing interest of dealers weakened. The finished product inventory of enterprises increased as the impact on production from typhoon eased.
In terms of galvanised structural parts, galvanised steel tower plants can keep operating rates at around 90% until the fourth quarter. Photovoltaic orders remained at a high level, while operating rates of other sectors did not see a pick-up. Operating rates at galvanising plants will remain stable this week.
