Nvidia has announced an updated artificial intelligence (AI) processor to boost chip capacity and speed, thereby cementing the company's dominance in the nascent market.
Nvidia said at its Siggraph conference in Los Angeles that its Grace Hopper superchip, a combination graphics chip and processor, will benefit from a new type of memory.
The product relies on HBM3e, which can access information at speeds of up to 5TB per second. Nvidia says the superchip, called the GH200, will go into production in the second quarter of 2024.
