Domestic output of PrNd oxide in April 2023 stood at 5,958 mt, down 0.9% MoM. Output decreased across Guangxi and Jiangsu to varying degrees. Output in Sichuan grew.
According to SMM survey, the low prices of PrNd oxide significantly eroded profits at some mining companies. The purchasing willingness of metal factories was subdued, muting actual trading of PrNd oxide. Some separation plants curtailed output slightly. The output of PrNd oxide in Jiangsu decreased by 27% from the previous month, and that in Guangxi dropped by 8%. However, some enterprises slightly increased production due to sufficient raw materials, growing the output of PrNd oxide in Sichuan by 12% month-on-month.
