SMM statistics showed that the global iron ore shipments totalled 32.94 million mt last week, an increase of 15.3% week-on-week. The shipments from Australia rose 12.6% on a weekly basis to 18.94 million mt, of which 15.56 million mt or 82.2% went to China, up 30.9%.
The shipments from Brazil rose 26.3% on a weekly basis to 7.69 million mt, of which 2.96 million mt or 38.5% went to China, down 14.9%.
