According to preliminary statistics from the China Passenger Car Association, from April 1 to April 30, the retail sales of passenger vehicles reached 1.652 million, a year-on-year increase of 58% and a month- on-month increase of 4%.

Since the beginning of this year, the cumulative retail sales stood at 5.938 million vehicles, flat year-on-year; the national passenger car manufacturers have wholesaled 1.783 million vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 87%, but a month-on-month decrease of 10%.

Since the beginning of this year, a total of 6.845 million vehicles have been wholesaled, a year-on-year increase of 7%.
