According to German media Teslamag, Tesla's super factory in Berlin, Germany has started production of the rear-wheel drive version of the Model Y with BYD batteries, the first Tesla electric car to use BYD's LFP battery. The car is understood to have a battery capacity of 55 kWh and a range of 440 km. In August last year, there was further news that the EU had approved Tesla's adoption of BYD batteries. Now, the progress of the cooperation between the two sides has been exposed again. In this regard, the media asked BYD for confirmation, and BYD responded: no comment.
