SHANGHAI, May 4 (SMM) - The terminal demand for rebar rose sharply with falling steel prices and the restocking demand approaching the Labour Day holiday. The trading market this week may turn colder due to the fewer working days caused by the Labour Day holiday. In terms of HRC, the terminal enterprises were cautious amid the falling prices of HRC and only purchased on dips. The overall demand for HRC in April was average. The market players expect that the peak season may arrive in May and that terminal enterprises will purchase after the Labour Day holiday. SMM believes that the demand for HRC in the first ten days of May will improve compared with last week.
