SHANGHAI, May 4 (SMM) –This year's Labour Day holiday is the first long holiday in the traditional peak season since China lifted its Covid restrictions. The production schedules of aluminium processing enterprises before and after the holiday reflect their expectations for aluminium consumption.
SMM survey shows that a large number of aluminium extruders were closed for the holiday, while companies in other sectors ran at low capacity.
For post-holiday outlook, except for aluminium wire and cable, other sectors may see sluggish demand after the holiday, which will threaten aluminium consumption.
