According to Reuters, Finnish utility Fortum said on April 25 that its new plant has been commissioned and has begun recycling raw materials from electric vehicle battery "black mass".
It is reported that "black mass" refers to battery scrap fragments, which are rich in lithium, cobalt, nickel and other metals, and can be converted into raw materials for battery production through refining.
