SHANGHAI, Apr 24 (SMM) - The average operating rate of die-casting zinc alloy manufacturers was 49.9% last week, down 1.86 percentage points from 51.76% in the previous week. The raw material inventory held by the companies fell slightly since most enterprises restocked on rigid demand. The market saw a supply surplus owing to the poor overseas demand for hardware and the sluggish domestic real estate sector. Last week, some enterprises reduced the operating rates amid fewer new orders. Die-casting zinc alloy manufacturers are expected to slightly ramp up production this week for the upcoming Labour Day holiday.
