Due to soaring power prices in Europe, the difference between the cost of driving an electric car and a fuel car has become negligible, and in some cases, the cost of charging some electric cars is higher than the cost of refuelling a fuel car. The Tesla Model 3 currently costs €18.40 of power for 100 miles when charged at a Tesla Supercharger station in Europe. In comparison, the Honda Civic costs just €18.31 for petrol to drive the same distance. If an electric car owner only charges their vehicle at home, the cost of driving is still less than a fuel car, but the gap has narrowed considerably.
