SHANGHAI, Oct 13 (SMM) - Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology recently issued the Power Grid Development Plan in Guangzhou (2022-2025). From 2022 to 2025, Guangzhou Power Grid plans to invest 37.6 billion yuan to build a total of 24.22 million kVA of voltage capacity of 110 kV and above, including the construction of two substations and the expansion of one substation each with the capacity of 500 kV, the building of 20 substations and expansion of 11 substations each with the capacity of 220 kV, and the construction of 54 substations and expansion of 21 substations each with the capacity of 110 kV. By the end of 2025, there will be 466 substations each with a voltage capacity of 110kV and above in the city, including 11 substations of 500kV, 89 substations of 220kV, and 366 substations of 110kV.
In terms of renewable energy, by 2025, the installed capacity of photovoltaic power will reach 1 million kilowatts, and strive to reach 1.2 million kilowatts and above; the installed capacity of biomass power will reach 930,000 kilowatts; the installed capacity of wind power will strive to be 160,000 kilowatts.
