SHANGHAI, Sep 26 (SMM) - Pure nickel inventory in six regions across China lost 245 mt to 5,843 mt last week. The inventory of nickel briquette dipped 400 mt to 250 mt, while that of nickel plate added 155 mt to 5,593 mt. SMM research showed that the decline in nickel briquette inventory was caused by the growing demand for pure nickel from the steel mills. The inventory of nickel plates rose as the demand from the alloy sector did not pick up and the mills preferred the nickel briquette with lower premiums.
