According to customs data, China's net imports of primary aluminium totalled 43,200 mt, in August 2022, a decrease of 0.43% MoM and 58.9% YoY. The total import volume was 49,300 mt, down 53.4% year-on-year, and 85.1% of imported primary aluminium were originated from the Russia.
The total export of primary aluminium in August was 6,100 mt, up 1,365.3% YoY.
The total net import volume in January-August stood at 107,200 mt, down 89.54% year-on-year.
