SHANGHAI, Aug 22 (SMM) - The prices of lithium hydroxide stabilised last week amid thin trades in the spot market. The recent surge in lithium carbonate prices drove some downstream buyers to purchase crude lithium carbonate to produce lithium hydroxide on their own. The overseas demand rose slightly, but fell short of expectations. Lithium hydroxide prices are expected to edge higher at the end of August when the rising lithium carbonate prices passed through to the lithium hydroxide end.
