In north China today, spot prices of #1 copper cathode against the front-month contract were at a discount of 400-320 yuan/mt, with the average discount at 360 yuan/mt, up 20 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. Transaction prices ranged from 101,550 to 102,630 yuan/mt, with the average price at 102,090 yuan/mt, down 705 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. As the delivery date approaches, spot premiums/discounts in north China followed the upward trend in east China, but constrained by weak demand, the substantial discount situation remained difficult to reverse, and market trading activity was low. Today, procurement sentiment for copper cathode in north China was 1.41, up 0.13 from the previous trading day, while sales sentiment was 1.62, up 0.11 from the previous trading day ().
