It is reported that the project is located in the Qipanjing Industrial Park in Otog Banner, Inner Mongolia, an important energy and chemical base. As a supporting project for the national first batch of hydrogen pilot projects, the “Sheneng Otog Banner 505MW Wind and Solar Power Hydrogen Production Integration for Green Ammonia Synthesis Project,” it deeply integrates wind power, PV, and water electrolysis hydrogen production systems, establishing an energy conversion model of “green electricity producing green hydrogen, and green hydrogen generating electricity.” The green hydrogen and green ammonia products of the project comply with the EU ISCC EU RFNBO standards, effectively addressing the issue of curtailment of new energy power, stabilizing fluctuations in renewable energy, absorbing surplus electricity, and providing flexible regulation capabilities for the power grid.

The fuel used is green hydrogen with a purity of 99.999%, supplied by the Sheneng Otog Banner 505MW Wind and Solar Power Hydrogen Production Integration for Green Ammonia Synthesis Project and the Sheneng Otog Front Banner 250MW PV Hydrogen Production Project, both invested in and constructed by Shenzhen Energy Group in Ordos. The two projects produce approximately 26,000 metric tons of high-purity green hydrogen and synthesize about 120,000 metric tons of green ammonia annually, establishing a green energy and chemical operation system that adapts to hydrogen or ammonia as appropriate.
