Today, in North China, spot prices of #1 copper cathode against the front-month contract were at a discount of 610-450 yuan/mt, with an average discount of 530 yuan/mt, up 70 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. Transaction prices ranged from 96,910-97,750 yuan/mt, with an average of 97,330 yuan/mt, down 3,140 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. As the vast majority of downstream consumers planned to take a holiday for New Year's Day or had completed pre-holiday stockpiling, and suppliers had also cleared their inventory, the market basically entered a holiday state today. Today, the procurement sentiment for copper cathode in North China was 1.01, unchanged from the previous trading day, while the sales sentiment was 1.25, down 0.57 from the previous trading day ().
