On December 8, the inaugural meeting of the Shanghai Hydrogen-based Energy Industry Alliance, hosted by Shanghai Institute, a subsidiary of PowerChina, concluded successfully. The alliance was voluntarily established by 16 upstream and downstream enterprises in the hydrogen-based energy industry chain, marking a new phase of collaborative development in the hydrogen energy industry centered on Shanghai. It is expected to inject strong momentum into the large-scale and high-quality development of the hydrogen energy industry in the Yangtze River Delta and even nationwide.
It is understood that the alliance, with the core orientation of "building an industrial ecosystem and promoting industry development," aims to gather high-quality resources from the upstream and downstream of the hydrogen energy industry chain and establish a cooperation platform for deep integration of industry, academia, and research. At the inaugural meeting, representatives from the 16 founding units engaged in in-depth exchanges on their respective business layouts, technological advantages, and the current state of industry development, reaching a consensus that the alliance will open up efficient communication channels within the industry chain. Through resource sharing and complementary advantages, the alliance will jointly address market changes and accelerate the implementation of more hydrogen energy projects.
As the leading unit of the alliance, Shanghai Institute will fully leverage its professional expertise in energy planning, technological innovation, and system integration optimization to actively promote resource sharing, project co-creation, and standard co-establishment within the alliance. In the future, the alliance will focus on building a hydrogen energy industry innovation hub centered on Shanghai, radiating across the Yangtze River Delta, and serving the entire country, helping the industry overcome development bottlenecks and achieve a new leap in large-scale, high-quality development.
