The SMM #1 lead average price today increased by 25 yuan/mt WoW to 17,200 yuan/mt. Spot supply of secondary refined lead was scarce. Mainstream tax-inclusive ex-works quotations were at premiums of -50~0 yuan/mt against the SMM #1 lead average price, with individual offers in central China and south-west China at premiums of -100 yuan/mt. Tax-exclusive ex-works quotations for refined lead ranged from 15,850 to 16,000 yuan/mt. Lead-acid battery producers showed strong purchase willingness last week, but adopted a wait-and-see attitude today, with purchase willingness relatively declining.
