According to reports, the comprehensive weekly operating rate for lead-acid battery enterprises in five provinces surveyed by SMM was 74.46% from November 28 to December 4, 2025, an increase of 1.07 percentage points WoW.
Entering December, consumption in the lead-acid battery market improved relatively, mainly reflected in the automotive battery sector. On one hand, as December is the last month of the year, some large enterprises considered their annual production and sales volumes, leading to higher production enthusiasm compared to the previous month. On the other hand, with the automotive battery market approaching the traditional peak season, some companies proactively built inventory and increased production, thus driving a continued rise in the weekly operating rate for lead-acid batteries this week.
