Fuxin Hydrogen Energy Partners with PT. BTG Singapore to Jointly Develop the Hydrogen Energy Consumption Market in Southeast Asia

  • Oct 30, 2025, at 2:53 pm

On October 25, 2025, Jiangsu Guofu Hydrogen Energy Technology Equipment Co., Ltd. and PT. Batam Teknogi Gas (PT. BTG) formally signed a hydrogen energy strategic cooperation agreement in Singapore. The two parties will focus on the hydrogen energy sector in Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia, leveraging industrial synergy to promote regional low-carbon economic development and support the implementation of the "dual carbon" goals.

Each party possesses distinct advantages: PT. BTG was founded by Hendri, an entrepreneur with deep experience in industrial gases and manufacturing. It is a leading provider of industrial and medical gas solutions on Batam Island, holding multiple international ISO certifications. With years of experience in gas consumption and transportation in Indonesia, it has accumulated mature industrial resources in Indonesia and Malaysia, and possesses hydrogen consumption capabilities in Singapore, enabling it to support Guofu Hydrogen's liquid hydrogen services for local demand. As a comprehensive solution provider for China's hydrogen energy equipment across the entire industry chain, Guofu Hydrogen possesses core capabilities spanning "production, storage, transportation, refueling, and application." It has previously established a presence in Singapore and Malaysia, such as setting up a joint venture green hydrogen refueling station in Singapore and signing a liquid hydrogen project in Malaysia, laying the foundation for regional hydrogen energy cooperation.

This cooperation aligns with market demands in Singapore. Its "Smart Nation 2025" initiative explicitly aims to establish the country as an Asia-Pacific computing power hub by 2030. In the data center sector, the DC-CFA pilot program has established a stringent entry mechanism requiring enterprises to submit new energy supply plans, making the "green hydrogen + green electricity" model a market focus. Guofu Hydrogen's market approach, leveraging PT. BTG's resources, can precisely respond to these demands. According to the agreement, the cooperation centers on liquid hydrogen consumption and cross-regional distribution, with PT. BTG taking on the major responsibility for distributing liquid hydrogen from the plant. The two parties will jointly invest in building a hydrogen plant in Indonesia, and PT. BTG will procure core equipment from Guofu Hydrogen to provide hardware support for the consumption network.

This signing represents a significant step for Guofu Hydrogen in expanding its presence in the Southeast Asian hydrogen energy market. In the future, the two parties will deepen their collaboration to help build a low-carbon energy system in Southeast Asia and jointly promote the high-quality development of the cross-regional hydrogen energy industry.
