On October 9, Hebei Shenneng Industry Group Co., Ltd. and Inner Mongolia Yipai Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd. formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties will engage in in-depth collaboration around the hydrogen-powered heavy-duty truck industry chain, establishing a coordinated development model encompassing the entire chain of "production, storage, transportation, refueling, and use." This cooperation marks the entry of the strategic layout of the two enterprises in the field of hydrogen energy transportation into a substantive advancement stage, and will provide complete industrial ecological support for the commercial operation of hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks in the Inner Mongolia region.
Project Core Indicators:
- Industrial Scale: The Hangjin Banner Wind, Solar, Hydrogen, Storage, and Vehicle Integration Project being advanced by Yipai Hydrogen Energy plans for a daily hydrogen refueling capacity of 26 mt, which can meet the operational needs of 400 hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks, forming a complete closed loop from hydrogen production to utilization.
- Supporting Infrastructure: The Ordos City Daqi Gushanliang ESS Power Station Project, in which Shenneng Group participated in the investment, has a total investment of 1.984 billion yuan and a scale of 3GW/12.8GWh. It is expected to be completed and operational in H2 2026, providing stable renewable energy support for hydrogen production.
Technology Integration and Highlights: The core highlight of the cooperation lies in establishing a low-carbon energy supply network of "wind and solar power generation + ESS + hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks". The two parties will breakthroughly introduce new-type energy storage technologies such as molten salt ESS and jointly explore their application in the field of renewable energy hydrogen production, forming an innovative model of energy cascade utilization. By integrating Yipai Hydrogen Energy's experience in fuel cell R&D and heavy-duty truck operation, as well as Shenneng Group's technical advantages in energy storage system optimization and carbon footprint management, they aim to create a competitive regional hydrogen-powered heavy-duty truck demonstration project.
