Recently, the "Zero-Carbon Demonstration Park"—the Huadian 50 MW off-grid hydrogen production project, for which PowerChina Beijing Engineering Corporation led the EPC contracting, was officially launched. Personnel from the Xinji Municipal Committee, China Huadian, PowerChina Beijing Engineering Corporation, and other relevant units attended the launch ceremony, marking the project's entry into the substantive construction phase.

- Scale and Capacity: Total installed capacity of 50 MW, supporting the construction of two sets of 1,000 standard cubic meters per hour hydrogen production equipment, one 2,000 kW hydrogen gas turbine, and one integrated hydrogen production and refueling station.
Technology Integration and Highlights
- Off-Grid Hydrogen Production Mode: Innovatively adopts a hydrogen production mode independent of the traditional power grid. Wind power generation is prioritized for hydrogen production at the station, with surplus electricity fully consumed by the Aosen Special Steel Group, effectively breaking through technical barriers in areas such as new energy green electricity hydrogen production, hydrogen storage, hydrogen energy storage, and hydrogen transportation.
- Full-Chain Integrated Operation: Implements innovative applications including direct supply of green electricity to steel enterprises, supply of green hydrogen for hydrogen-powered heavy trucks, and load regulation using hydrogen gas turbines, achieving full-chain integration and integrated operation from wind power generation to hydrogen production, storage, refueling, and application.
Construction Period and Expected Benefits
- Expected Benefits: Upon completion, the project is expected to supply 80.84 million kWh of green electricity and 650 mt of green hydrogen annually.
