A fire broke out on Sunday at the Morowali Industrial Complex in Indonesia, the country's largest nickel processing facility, injuring three employees.
Campground spokesperson Dedi Kurnia Wan explained that the fire affected a gas purification tower in one of the complex's leased units, indicating that welding activities may have been the cause.
Indonesia is the world's largest producer of nickel, but accidents are common in this sector's processing operations.
