Recently, the Dalian Market Supervision Administration released a letter soliciting opinions on the "Dalian Hydrogen Energy Industry Standard System (2025)".
The document points out that it will cover the entire chain with a focus on key breakthroughs. This includes hydrogen production (offshore wind power for hydrogen production, purification of by-product hydrogen from industry), storage and transportation (liquid hydrogen storage tanks, solid-state hydrogen storage, type IV bottle detection), fuel cells and key parts (low-cost large power stack automated production lines, low-platinum high-reaction membrane electrodes, hydrogen fuel cell auxiliary systems, hydrogen fuel cell testing platforms, etc.), and applications (ships, buses, chemicals). It aims to strengthen standard supply in key areas based on Dalian's advantages in hydrogen detection technology (such as the hydrogen cylinder testing center) and address weak links (such as the lack of standards for seawater-based hydrogen production equipment), thereby reinforcing and complementing the industry chain.
By 2027, a basic industrial standard system with Dalian characteristics and a demonstrative leading role is expected to be formed. The goal is to promote active participation of enterprises in the revision of more than three international standards, deeply involve in the formulation and revision of over ten national and industry standards, develop a batch of local standards with Dalian features and regional influence in stages and at different levels, and explore and study more than ten group standards that lead industry development and respond to the needs of key enterprises in the city. The adaptability, effectiveness, and quality level of the standards will significantly improve, further strengthening the "hard constraints" on hydrogen safety and enhancing the soft power of the city's hydrogen energy industry. The coverage of standards in the hydrogen field will be further expanded, the structure of the standard system will be notably optimized, and the coordination among standards will be significantly enhanced, with the standardization work mechanisms becoming more robust.
