Since the beginning of this year, the open-pit mine of Bensteel Mining has faced unfavourable factors such as narrowing mining operation areas, harsh natural conditions in the mine, increasing mining difficulties, heavy rainfall and extreme weather changes during the flooding season, and high temperatures. Despite these challenges, the mine has closely adhered to the production and operation philosophy of "benefit-centered" and the working principles of "accounting-based management" and "accounting-based production". It has thoroughly implemented the spirit of the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his field trip to Liaoning and Ansteel Group's Bensteel, anchoring itself in the production and operation goals of Ansteel Group, Bensteel Group, and the mining company. The mine has scientifically formulated mining plans and coordinated production resources. By the end of June, it had achieved a total mining and stripping volume of 51.13 million mt, exceeding the target by 4.32 million mt. Among this, the rock production reached 42.9 million mt, exceeding the target by 4.52 million mt, and the ore production reached 8.23 million mt, setting a record high for the same period in history. In the first half of the year, the mine reduced costs by over 30 million yuan, successfully achieving the "double halfway" goal of time and task completion.
