Beijing (Gasgoo)On July 25, Chinese new energy vehicle brand AITO officially opened pre-orders for the BEV (battery electric vehicle) version of its M8 SUV, marketed as a "smart flagship SUV for families."

The pre-sale price starts at 378,000 yuan, with official market launch scheduled for August. Early buyers are eligible for limited-time benefits, including a 5,000 yuan deposit that counts as 10,000 yuan toward the final payment and a complimentary Night Purple exterior package worth 8,000 yuan.

Measuring 5,190 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,795 mm in height, with a 3,105 mm wheelbase, the full-size SUV M8 offers a panoramic cabin with a highly flexible interior layout. A new power-operated front trunk adds convenience for everyday use.

The vehicle is equipped with Huawei's full-stack ADS 4 advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS), featuring integrated cruising and parking functions that deliver a human-like driving experience. It includes Huawei's 192-line LiDAR, one high-precision rear-facing solid-state LiDAR, and five 4D millimeter-wave radars to support active safety, advanced driving assistance, and automated parking features.

Built on the upgraded Tuling platform, the AITO M8 benefits from a well-rounded chassis designed to deliver both a smooth ride and agile handling.

All variants of the battery electric M8 come standard with a 100kWh CATL battery pack supported by Huawei's 800V "Giant Whale" high-voltage platform. It offers a maximum CLTC-rated range of 705 km and enables high-speed charging to replenish significant range in a short time.

Safety-wise, the M8 boasts a robust body structure enhanced with more than 30 sensors for all-round collision prevention. Its 15-layer battery protection system ensures comprehensive safety for occupants.

In terms of styling, the all-electric M8 introduces a new Night Purple exterior, paired with a Black Obsidian styling package. Black accents have been added to the lower grille, roof rails, window trim, and body cladding, while smoked wheels are paired with red brake calipers for a sportier look. The interior is newly available in a Truffle Brown color scheme, offering additional customization options.

The vehicle's powertrain choices include both single- and dual-motor configurations. The single-motor version delivers up to 227 kW, while the dual-motor setup provides a combined output of 387 kW. Both variants feature Huawei's high-voltage integrated seven-in-one electric drive system.
