Today, the SMM 1# lead average price increased by 25 yuan/mt from yesterday to 16,750 yuan/mt. The number of quotes from secondary lead smelters was average. It was learned that cargoes self-picked up from individual refined lead smelters in central China were offered at a discount of 100 yuan/mt against the SMM 1# lead average price. In east China, the mainstream prices were offered at a discount of 50-0 yuan/mt against the SMM 1# lead average price ex-factory, with delivery available for nearby customers. The ex-factory price of refined lead, excluding tax, was around 15,800 yuan/mt. Downstream battery producers restocked based on immediate needs.
