On June 17, 2025, the US Department of Commerce issued a notice, making a preliminary countervailing duty determination on Temporary Steel Fencing imported from China. It was preliminarily determined that the subsidy rate for Hebei Minmetals Co., Ltd. was 33.27%, and for Shijiazhuang SD Company Ltd., it was 139.20%. Anping County Xingpeng Hardware Co., Ltd., Shenzhou Yuelei Metal Products Co., Ltd., Sichuan Gold-Link Industry, Sourcing Solution Co., Ltd., and Tianjin Mengsheng Metal Products were all assigned a subsidy rate of 301.83% as they did not participate in the response. Other Chinese producers/exporters were assigned a subsidy rate of 86.24%. The US Department of Commerce is expected to make a final countervailing duty determination on October 27, 2025. This case mainly involves products under the US HS code 7308.90.9590.
On February 5, 2025, the US Department of Commerce initiated anti-dumping and countervailing duty investigations on Temporary Steel Fencing imported from China.
