Data released by the Online Inquiry Platform for Customs Statistics showed that China's imports of refined copper in May 2025 were 292,694.313 mt, down 2.49% MoM and down 15.64% YoY.
The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) was the largest supplier, with 90,300.26 mt of refined copper imported from the DRC in that month, down 20.64% MoM and down 31.61% YoY.
Russia was the second-largest supplier, with 37,730.706 mt of refined copper imported from Russia in that month, up 47.67% MoM and up 184.37% YoY.
