According to statistics, from January to April this year, China's auto production and sales reached 10.175 million units and 10.06 million units respectively, up 12.9% and 10.8% YoY. Among them, the production and sales of NEVs reached 4.429 million units and 4.3 million units respectively, up 48.3% and 46.2% YoY. The sales of new NEVs accounted for 42.7% of the total sales of new cars.
In terms of exports, from January to April this year, China exported 1.937 million vehicles, up 6% YoY. Among them, the exports of NEVs reached 642,000 units, up 52.6% YoY.
A relevant official from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) stated that since the beginning of this year, various macro policies have worked in coordination, and the economy has shown a positive trend, providing strong support for the stable growth of China's auto market. Meanwhile, the timely implementation of policies such as the program of large-scale equipment upgrades and consumer goods trade-ins, the continuous upgrading of enterprises' product technologies, and the relative stability of product prices have jointly promoted the sustained release of market vitality.
