Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On February 19, the latest filings from China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology ("MIIT") revealed the Geely Galaxy's Xingyao 8 plug-in hybrid electric sedan.
The exterior adopts a sleek, modern aesthetic, with slim headlights integrated with a full-width star-ring light strip, enhancing its distinctive front-end look.
The lower bumper incorporates T-shaped chrome accents on both sides of the air intakes, adding a refined touch to the design. The hidden door handles contribute to improved aerodynamics.
At the rear, a full-width taillight design mirrors the front, creating a cohesive visual identity.
In terms of dimensions, the Xingyao 8 measures 5,018mm in length, 1,918mm in width, and 1,480mm in height, with a 2,928mm wheelbase.
Powering the vehicle is the NordThor EM-P hybrid system, consisting of a 1.5T engine (model BHE15-BFZ) produced by Autobay. The engine can produce up to 120 kW. The hybrid system is paired with an 18.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, offering a range of 130 km on battery power alone.
Additionally, the Xingyao 8 will come equipped with advanced intelligent driving features and Galaxy Flyme Auto as standard, enabling seamless cross-device integration between smartphones and the vehicle, supporting quick connectivity, smooth linking, and effortless content sharing.
