Spot primary aluminum prices rose by 90 yuan/mt compared to the previous trading day, with SMM A00 spot price closing at 20,600 yuan/mt. Aluminum scrap market quotations followed the aluminum price upward significantly. Today, baled UBC aluminum scrap was quoted at 15,150-15,900 yuan/mt (excluding tax), and shredded aluminum tense scrap was quoted at 16,650-18,150 yuan/mt (liquid aluminum, excluding tax). In the short term, the aluminum scrap fundamentals are steadily recovering, downstream purchasing as needed, and market transactions have improved. The short-term price difference between primary metal and scrap is expected to remain volatile.
