Today, spot copper in North China was quoted at a discount of 300-220 yuan/mt against the front-month contract, with an average discount of 260 yuan/mt, unchanged from the previous trading day. Transaction prices ranged from 76,790-77,010 yuan/mt, with an average price of 76,900 yuan/mt, up by 435 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. The center of copper prices climbed again, while market demand remained sluggish. As the delivery date approached, suppliers showed low willingness to sell at lower prices, and the market was relatively quiet today.
