SMM February 7 News: This week, the operating rates of galvanising producers recorded 24.69%, an increase of 12.38 percentage points compared to pre-holiday levels. In terms of raw material inventories, most operating enterprises primarily consumed existing inventories, leading to a slight decline in raw material stocks compared to pre-holiday levels. The main reasons for the rebound in operating rates this week are as follows: the Chinese New Year holiday ended, and large enterprises gradually resumed operations from the ninth day of the lunar calendar, while many small and medium-sized enterprises resumed operations after the Lantern Festival. This week, large enterprises operated for about three days, with a small number of enterprises resuming operations around the third day of the lunar calendar. Additionally, transportation gradually recovered, some finished products began to be shipped, and finished product inventories slightly decreased. However, end-user recovery still requires time. Attention should be paid to the resumption of production by enterprises next week, with operating rates estimated to potentially reach 53.4%.
