Beijing (Gasgoo)- On November 7, Audi marked a significant milestone in luxury electric mobility, unveiling a new brand and concept vehicle in collaboration with SAIC Motor at a launch event in Shanghai.
The new brand, branded simply with the "AUDI" lettering, aims to set new standards in the luxury electric vehicle market by merging Audi's renowned quality and technological innovation with a forward-thinking design approach. The inaugural mass-produced model of the AUDI brand will be based on the newly revealed concept car, positioned as a B-segment shooting brake, with mass production set to begin at SAIC Motor's Anting facility in Shanghai by August 2025.
In a partnership formalized on May 20 this year, Audi, SAIC Motor, and SAIC Volkswagen committed to co-developing the Advanced Digitized Platform (ADP) specifically for the Chinese market. This new platform will serve as the foundation for a new generation of intelligent, high-end connected electric vehicles.
