According to the latest data from China Customs, in August 2024, China's nickel sulphate imports totaled 5,042 mt (Ni contained), up 68% MoM and up 21% YoY. China's nickel sulphate exports were 447 mt (metal content), down 33% MoM and up 82% YoY. In August 2024, China's net imports of nickel sulphate were 4,596 mt (metal content), up 97% MoM. The main imports in August came from Indonesia. Due to the large volume of arrivals from Indonesia and the gradual stabilization of nickel salt production in Indonesia, the net imports of nickel salt began to increase in August.
