In June 2024, China's PV glass exports reached 352,900 mt, up 7.36% YoY and slightly down 1.09% MoM. Among these, the largest trade volume was directed to India, amounting to 99,700 mt, with a significant MoM increase of 31.70%, marking the second consecutive month of MoM growth exceeding 30 percentage points, surpassing Vietnam to become the top destination.
By specific export trade partners, in June, China’s exports to India were the largest, with an export volume of 99,700 mt, up 31.70% MoM, maintaining growth for several consecutive months. The top 5 export trade volumes in June were India, Vietnam, the US, Thailand, and South Korea. The top countries saw some changes; in June, India’s demand increased again, rising to the first place, and the US demand also increased, rising to the third place. South Korea’s June demand increased by 70.93% MoM, rising to the fifth place. Indonesia, Mexico, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Turkey ranked 6th to 10th. The top 10 trade volumes accounted for 82.35% of the total export volume, remaining basically unchanged from May.
Compared to May, China's export volume to India increased to 99,700 mt, up 31.70% MoM, accounting for 28.25% of the total export volume. China's export volume to Vietnam was 47,100 mt, down 51.89% MoM, accounting for 13.36% of the total export volume, a significant decrease compared to May. China's export volume to the US was 40,900 mt, up 13.93% MoM, accounting for 11.58% of the total export volume. China's export volume to Thailand was 35,300 mt, accounting for 10.01% of the total export volume, with a slight decrease in volume. China's export volume to South Korea in June was 14,700 mt, up 70.93% MoM, accounting for 4.17% of the total export volume, and rising to the fifth position. China's export volume to Malaysia was 11,600 mt, a slight decrease of 1,300 mt compared to May, accounting for 3.29% of the total export volume, with the trade volume ranking falling to eighth.
