Beijing (Gasgoo)- On February 22, 2024, Chinese new energy vehicle manufacturer XPENG declared a strategic partnership with the UAE dealership group, Ali&Sons.
This collaboration marks a significant step in XPENG's international expansion. With a focus on deploying cutting-edge technology, XPENG aims to introduce intelligent electric vehicles to local consumers through partnerships with high-quality overseas dealers.
Currently, XPENG has established strategic partnerships with Ali&Sons in the UAE, RAYA Group in Egypt, SR Group in Azerbaijan, T Gargour&Fils Group in Jordan, and Gargour Asia SAL Group in Lebanon. Several XPENG models are slated for launch and delivery in the Middle East and Africa starting from the second quarter (Q2) of this year.
Leveraging its innovative products and technological prowess, XPENG is poised to accelerate its overseas market expansion in 2024, prioritizing intelligent leadership. Following the strategic collaboration with dealerships in the Middle East and Africa, XPENG will commence sales of the G6 and G9 SUV models in the UAE from Q3 onwards. The G6 and G9, developed for global markets, are built on the XPENG SEPA 2.0 "Fuyao" intelligent evolution architecture. Moreover, deliveries of the XPENG P7 and G9 will commence in Jordan and Lebanon in Q2, followed by Egypt in Q3.
The partnership with dealerships in the Middle East and Africa signifies XPENG's pivotal "first step" on its global journey, targeting new markets in the Gulf region, Central Asia, and Africa. Additionally, XPENG plans to expand into other European markets, including Germany, the UK, Italy, and France, in 2024. By focusing on Europe and potential markets in the Middle East and Africa, XPENG aims to introduce more tailored models to increase sales and market share.
