SHANGHAI, Sep 21 (SMM) - The average operating rate of blast furnaces dropped 0.74 percentage point from a week ago to 93.61% as of September 21, according to SMM survey. The utilisation rate of blast furnace capacity stood at 93.88%, down 0.87 percentage point from the previous week. The daily average pig iron output of steel mills in SMM samples declined 20,800 mt week-on-week to 2.2367 million mt. Therefore, the daily average pig iron output across China is estimated at 2.6627 million mt, down 24,800 mt on a weekly basis.
