Job Responsibilities
- Support research teams in tracking commodity market dynamics, supply chain updates, and macro-economic trends within the Southeast Asian region.
- Assist in the collection and structural processing of public market data, ensuring high accuracy and timeliness under the guidance of senior analysts.
- Leverage generative AI tools and basic data processing workflows to clean, categorize, and update internal databases.
- Contribute to daily and weekly market reviews by summarizing industry news, policy changes, and regional hot spots.
- Help maintain and verify standard repository contact lists through routine desktop research and compliance-approved communication channels.
- Collaborate with regional and global research teams to ensure cross-border information sharing and data alignment.
- Provide baseline research, data aggregation, and presentation support for regional market analysis and localized consulting projects.
Job Requirements
- Undergraduates or master’s students in Economics, Finance, International Trade, Data Science, Metallurgy, or related fields (open to final-year students seeking career tracks).
- Strong professional proficiency in verbal and written English to ensure effective communication within an international corporate environment; knowledge of regional languages (e.g., Malay, Mandarin) is a distinct advantage.
- Solid technical agility with a strong interest in learning and utilizing modern AI collaboration tools and advanced data processing software.
- Excellent logical thinking, numerical reasoning, and a high level of attentiveness to detail when handling large datasets.
- Strong team player with proactive communication skills and an eagerness to learn in a fast-paced market research environment.
- Availability to commit to a minimum of 3 to 6 months of internship, with a preference for candidates who can work a flexible or fixed weekly schedule.
