Overview:This week, the European APT market stayed high, with quotations concentrated at $2,900-3,100/mtu, and some transactions concluded at the high end of $3,100/mtu. However, the market overall saw quotations without transactions; although low-price offers existed, actual deals were lacking, and smelters mainly focused on fulfilling long-term contracts. In ferrotungsten, Rotterdam warehouse transaction prices edged down to $170-180/kg W, showing a gradual weakening trend. In the scrap market, the quotation range for European cemented carbide scrap was wide, with a notable recent decline, currently concentrated at €75-95/kg. Market trading was weak, and the price gap between buyers and sellers widened. Overall, end-use demand in the European tungsten market remained sluggish, and prices still faced certain downward pressure in the short term.
Downstream: Lower offers were reported in the market this week, with European scrap prices maintained at EUR 90/kg and above
Trader: The high end of APT transactions in Europe this week was USD 3,100/mtu
Trader: There were still no transactions for raw materials this week. Ore and sodium tungstate prices were reported to have declined, and there were APT offers at USD 2,800/mtu
Upstream: The current transaction price remains above USD 3,000/mtu
